This year we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Power of the Purse luncheon and purse raffle presented by Women United. For 20 years straight we have celebrated the power of women to create a community supportive of women and children’s issues. Proceeds from POP benefit United Way of Stanislaus County.

WOMEN UNITED WELCOMES MARYUM "MAY MAY" ALI

Maryum "May May" Ali is the eldest of Muhammad Ali’s nine children. Maryum has spent her life helping young people. Author, mediator, family development and gang prevention advocate, Team Parkinson spokesperson and star of A&E’s docu-series "60 Days In."
Her experience working with families in the human services field has given May May an acute sense the communication skills needed to foster healthy relationships as wells as the destructive forms of communication that break relationships down.  Hence, May May is on a mission to share effective communication techniques in entertaining ways.
