MISSION: The mission of the Council on Providing a Safety Net is that residents of Stanislaus County live in a community that provides for and cares about their well-being.

OUTCOME: To provide a safety net of services that ensures Stanislaus County residents can meet their basic needs.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Individuals can access program and services that reduce & prevent homelessness.
  • Individuals can access community based intervention programs and services that respond to:
  • Disaster related emergencies
  • Victims of violence
  • Meeting basic needs

    PROVIDING A SAFETY NET INDICATORS

  • Decrease in the nights that individuals are homeless.
  • Increase in individuals moving into transitional or permanent housing.
  • Increase in an individual’s knowledge and skill level to access support services.
  • Increase the number of individuals demonstrating self-support skills.
  • Increase the number of individuals able to reach programs and services.
  • Increase the availability of nutritious food for those in need.
  • Increase the availability of essential apparel for those in need.

    • Second Harvest Food Bank of San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties - Food Assistance Program
